Alpha Structural completed emergency hillside winterization at this Los Angeles property to provide temporary protection for the slope and backyard during wet weather conditions. According to the signed contract, the scope focused on covering the hillside and securing the protective material in place.
The project began with site preparation and mobilization for the winterization work. Loose trash and debris were cleared from the work area to prepare the hillside for installation of the protective covering.
Heavy-duty plastic sheeting was then installed across the hillside and backyard. Covering the exposed slope provided a temporary barrier intended to limit direct rainfall contact with the hillside soils during periods of winter weather.
Sandbags were installed over and around the plastic covering to help secure the sheeting against the hillside. This helped keep the temporary protective system in place while reducing exposure of the underlying slope to rainfall.
Together, the hillside preparation, heavy-duty plastic sheeting, sandbags, and cleanup provided an emergency winterization solution intended to temporarily protect the hillside and reduce its exposure to seasonal rain and surface erosion.
